Thomas Nagy and regular guest Paul Meenan discuss specialising in smart homes with husband-and-wife outfit Louise Tarling and John Vauxhall. John and Louise got into the smart home installation business by accident. "We had a client that had a tennis court in his garden and he wanted to be able to switch the lights from the house. We did a bit of research and got it done and there was no turning back after that," said John. The smart home sector is constantly-evolving as technologies hit the market. "It's great fun, but it's a constant learning curve. You have to keep on top of it," adds John. Louise adds that as smart home installers, they take care of "everything" needed to set up a home except plumbing, wallpapering, and tiling. The duo also cleared up misconceptions about smart homes. "Some think that if the internet fails the home comes to a standstill. What's in your house in an enclosed system, if your internet drops it just means you can't turn on the lights from outside," Louise clears. Further, in the show, the couple spoke about their working dynamic and the projects they’ve worked on. Listen to the whole show here.
