Fix Radio smashes podcast download numbers in 2022

Fix Radio racked up 206,570 podcast downloads in 2022, almost doubling its download figure from the previous year. The Builders Station publishes seven podcasts each week for its key shows, including its five-specialist tradeshows, The Bald Builders Breakfast and The Clive Holland Show. “The growth of our podcast downloads in the last year has been phenomenal,” said Greg Wilson, head of content, Fix Radio. “We’re looking forward to growing our podcast audience in 2023, as we expand our trade content offering and reach,” he added. The fastest growing show of the year was The Heating & Plumbing Show, which grew over 231%, as its twin-presenter format proved popular with Fix Radio’s trade audience. All Fix Radio’s tradeshows performed well in 2022, with The Carpentry Show, The Painting & Decorating Show, The Electrical Show and The Plastering Show all growing their audiences significantly in the last 12 months. Listeners figures for Fix Radio podcasts also crossed 100,000 for the first time in 2022. Fix Radio generated 107,154 podcast downloads in 2021.
