Fix Radio, the Builders Station is expanding its programming schedule by adding two new shows in February. Waking the industry up at 4am from the 4th February is Early Doors with John Isherwood on Monday to Friday. John will be warming up the audience (and the studio) for the Bald Builders with a playlist of bouncing tunes, whether you are getting your energy up before you head to the gym, or just going downstairs for a coffee before an early start. John will keep tradespeople company with rapid updates on the news, sports, weather and whatever else takes his fancy, while they wait for the building merchants open. Early risers that join John will have the opportunity to get their messages in first for The Bald Builders Breakfast and win themselves some merch. The Builders Station has also added another sports show to its programming schedule. Footy Fix, on between 10-and-12pm on Saturdays is a sideways look at the weekend’s fixtures, with some fun musical features and Fix Radio’s typical riotous soundtrack. Show host Sparky (not to be confused with an even-remotely qualified electrician), delivers an entertaining and idiot proof guide to the weekend’s football talking points, devoid of all serious analysis. “The new shows will help Fix Radio to continue to build its weekly reach and listening hours,” said Sean Coleman, head of station, Fix Radio. “The addition of Early Doors and Footy Fix will help us engage with audiences outside the usual peak listening hours. Our tradespeople audience are early risers and commonly spend time on the weekends working on quotes, and other admin. We want to continue to build a schedule that reflects their working hours,” he added. The latest additions follow other recent tweaks to the programming schedule. At the end of January, The Clive Holland Show was extended to three hours by popular demand, and Down Tools with Trev & Rich shifted from the weekend to the regular drive time slot. Fix Radio’s weekly reach and listening hours has continued to grow since going national in May. A report by Nielsen for June to November put the Builders Station’s weekly audience reach at over 211,000, and its average listening hours at over 19.8 per week.
