The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) hosts free open-day recruitment events at its National Construction Colleges (NCC) in Bircham Newton, Norfolk, and Erith, London. The events will be held at both colleges on Thursday, November 28, and Saturday, November 30. Permanent, full-time positions are available. CITB will support achieving the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) for Instructor positions and the Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance (TAQA) qualification for Assessor positions. These will be free of charge, and you will be trained on the job and will take 6-9 months to complete. Several other vacancies exist, too, including Lecturers in Leadership and Management, Health and Safety, English and Maths, and Curriculum Management roles. With the construction industry requiring more than 50,000 new workers each year, supporting new learners and training existing professionals by pursuing a role at the NCC will be fulfilling work, helping people secure a good job and a living. There’s no better time to work at the NCC. CITB has invested nearly £30m in its NCC sites to improve and develop the learning experience and is continuing to build on these improvements. The changes have increased learner retention rates to over 80%, with qualification achievement rates significantly above the sector average.
