Chris Frediani and Bradleigh (Bradders) Hancock chat with female plasterers Natasha Williams and Lottie Durrant about their training, career highlights and challenges they face in the trade. Lottie joined the trade in her teens and now has a couple of years of experience under her belt. The biggest challenge she faces is finding motivation to do her job well. "Having the knack to keep going even when it starts to go wrong is hard." However, she enjoys being in the construction industry. "I have a real passion for construction, and I enjoy the fact that I know this is what I was meant to do." Natasha, who won a FIS student award last year, says the journey as a spread hasn't been "easy" juggling family and trying to find work in North Wales. "Unfortunately, I haven't been able to secure any jobs off late and I've been left with a gap." Having recently qualified, she wasn't able to find an apprenticeship, so she went back to college and did two other courses plumbing and bricklaying. "I am also looking at doing a specialised plastering course with Carrington Lime." Listen to the podcast here.
