Chris Frediani and Bradleigh 'Bradders' Hancock are joined by specialists Adrian Jones and Richard Wellfair to discuss external wall insulation and how plasters can add it to their business.
Adrian, a technical manager at Mapei, said: "EWI is putting insulation on the exterior of the property. The hard bit is getting it to stay there and perform. This why training is so important."
EWI has been in the UK for over 60 years, but hasn't been very popular.
"The social housing sector has been the biggest market for this sector, it is now moving into the private sector. It's a good system, it saves money and also protects the property," said Adrian.
Experienced EWI tradesman, Richard got into this specialty in 2008. Today, the work he picks up is mostly from domestic clients who, he says, "want to improve the comfort of their homes".
