AUDIO NEWS: Plumbing businesses have best survival rate and sparkie to fight on Joshua undercard

Plumbing and electrical businesses have one of the highest survival rates of any industry – that’s according to a study from Sopro. 

Between 2017 and 2022, the B2B marketing firm estimates that 47% for gas heating firms and electrical contractors survived.

Ryan Welmans, cofounder and CEO of Sopro said it was vital for those planning to establish a small business to do their market research.

Builders in North Yorkshire are being urged to take part in free, hands-on retrofitting workshops.  

Run by the local council the energy efficiency training is being offered to help builders to conform with Part L Building Regulations.

The two-day courses will focus on improving the thermal performance of the building’s fabric and heating systems.

And finally, a 28-year-old electrician will be appearing on the Anthony Joshua/Daniel Dubois undercard this weekend at Wembley Stadium.  

Josh Padley will be the underdog when he takes on Mark Chamberlain in front of an estimated 96,000 fans on Saturday night. 

Earlier this week Josh had to come clean to his boss that he wouldn’t be in for the rest of the week. 

Although Josh’s boss said his disappearance wasn’t “great for the next few jobs”, he had been very helpful when he realised what a massive “opportunity” it was the young spark.
