Posted: Thursday, March 20th, 2025

Almost two thirds of tradespeople have been hit by cyber criminals — that’s according to research by NFU Mutual.

The report also suggests more than one in 10 tradespeople have lost customer information in a cyber-attack.

Despite the high frequency of attacks just 20% said that cyber crime was a top concern.

Although nearly three quarters of respondents admitted it was a growing concern.

Nick Baker, NFU Mutual’s cyber specialist said: “Tradespeople are often sole traders, or small businesses so may not have the technology or protection in place against these types of attacks and that makes them a prime target.”
