A tax loophole may allow tradespeople in London to claim back their daily ULEZ charges. On Monday the Financial Times reported that The Greater London Authority said self-employed workers would be able to claim back the £12.5 charge as part of their tax return. Drivers will be able to do this if their journey was “an exceptional trip, solely for business”, the paper reported. HRMC added that employees would also be entitled to tax relief on charges if they drive in the zone as part of their work. --- High mortgage rates are pushing more than a third of homeowners to postpone plans to sell, and instead invest in their existing properties – that’s according to recent poll from MyBuyilder.com.
