Posted: Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025

London and West Yorkshire have been labelled the worst tool theft hotspots in England and Wales — that’s according to a report from Monster Mesh.

In the capital over 11,200 tool theft incidents were reported last year, worth an estimated £94 million.

West Yorkshire had just over 3,000 cases of tool theft, with thieves taking around £3 million worth of tools.

In comparison, Gwent, Gloucestershire and North Wales, which had just 18 instances of tool theft in 2024, were the safest areas in the country.
