Three quarters of the building industry don't know how the Future Homes Standard will impact their business– that’s according to Trade Trades research from Jewson.

The standard, which won’t pass into law until later this year, aims to reduce carbon emissions in new build homes by 75-to-80%.

The survey found that of those aware of the upcoming legislation, nearly a third expected it to put financial pressure on their firm.

And 18% expected they would have to invest in training to ensure they were compliant.

Just 17% of respondents felt the Future Homes Standard presented an opportunity to enhance their reputation.

Despite the high level of neurodiversity, 75% of construction workers said they were not asked about their condition when hired.
